Transforming Natural Eyelashes into Butterfly Kisses
One of the most popular aspects of beauty salons in the last ten years is the eyelash extension. Professionally applied, using permanent medical grade adhesive lasting until the natural lash sheds., extensions transform lashes in length and volume into what many have called “little butterflies kissing your cheeks”.
“Lash extensions are one of the most sought after services currently,” said Fringe Salon and Lash Bar owner Tanja Semprebon. “What isn’t to love about waking up and feeling beautiful and ready to go?”
The perks of purchasing extensions include no mascara/eyeliner and the enhancement of the beauty of eyes with ease, she noted. And, the upkeep associated with lash extensions is minimal, just proper face washing and brushing out of the lashes daily.
Fringe Salon and Lash Bar began in April 2015 and remained in Berlin, VT, until recently when it transitioned into a larger space in Barre, VT. Semprebon said she wanted to come up with a creative and fun name for the salon and chose Fringe because it is derived from the British word meaning the front part of a person’s haircut that hangs over the forehead, aka bangs.
The successful salon currently has between 600-700 regular clients from all over Vermont. There are four full-time hairdressers, including Semprebon, and one part-time certified esthetician. A wide variety of services is offered, and Semprebon takes pride in the fact that she and her employees are always updating their techniques and protocol as the times change within the industry.
Hair services include cuts, colors, highlights, balayage, fashion colors, perms, and keratin straightening treatment. Also offered are professional makeup application, spray tans, waxing services, and brow tinting and shaping. Clients may also choose hair loss/loss of fullness solutions including tape in hair extensions, bead hair extensions, and wigs consultations.
