ArtHound Gallery announces it’s opening at the Essex Experience

Essex, VT- The ArtHound Gallery, one of the largest fine art and artisan craft galleries in Vermont is pleased to announce it is open for business at the Essex Experience. The gallery will feature one of a kind fine and functional art, handcraft, gifts and items for the home exclusively from Vermont artists, handcrafters and a handpicked selection Vermont made products. With both the local community and visitors in mind, the ArtHound has over 125 artists across all mediums and price levels including fine art originals.

To encourage artistic expression to thrive and grow in Vermont the ArtHound gallery brings you three levels of artists and handcrafters to enjoy. Established artists: These artists have reached a level of mastery and legacy in their work. A few represented you may know and love are Annelein Beukenkamp, Woody Jackson, Daryl Storrs, Peter Miller, Richard Brown, Aline Ordman, Theresa Somerset, Lochlin Smith, Alistair McCallum, Maxine Hugon, Mark Schwabe, Julie Baker Albright, Hunter Eddy, Peter Huntoon, Susan Larkin, Eric Tobin, Fred Swan and Jess Polanshek to name a few.

Emerging artists: The hidden gems of Vermont not yet showing in galleries but have attained a level of professional artistic ability and are ready to sell to a wider audience.

Enthusiasts: Special monthly shows will include work for sale by art associations, student work and special art created by Vermonters simply for their love of creating beautiful things. The art of the Essex Art League currently graces the Community Artist wall.

ArtHound Framing and Print Studio The gallery also features a framing and professional level printmaking service for artists and the community. In the ArtHound Print Shop you may have fine art prints made of your favorite images, cards printed or a favorite piece custom matted and framed. A sneak peak at 2020: The ArtHound will bring you exhibiting artist and professionally taught classes & workshops for community members of all ages that will start in early 2020. Join owners John and Jennifer Churchman, artists and the authors of the New York Times best selling children's book series, Sweet Pea & Friends as they create a special place for Vermont artists, our community and beyond. An all day Grand Opening Celebration is being planned for November 30th on Small Business Saturday with a “meet the artists” reception, ribbon cutting and holiday tree lighting from 4pm-7pm. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 11am-5pm, closed Monday or by appointment.
