A concert not to be missed, Let’s Tango! will showcase Boston based Duo Cello e Basso and pianist Victor Cayres. The trio will perform their own arrangements of the music of Piazzolla and Gardel, with favorites such as El día que me quieras, Por una cabeza, as well as lesser known works such as Kicho, a virtuoso piece dedicated to Enrique Kicho Díaz, the double bass player in Piazzolla’s band. Celebrated works, such as Le Grand Tango, dedicated to Russian cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, and Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas, also known as The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, will also be featured. The trio has recorded these arrangements for a CD scheduled to be released in the Spring/Summer 2021. This concert,will be livestreamed from Boston’s own state-of-the-art Futura Productions recording studio.
