Vermont Maple Festival

Winter is finally losing its grip, the Green Mountains are “greening,” the hard work of sugaring is mostly over, and there is new syrup to sample, sell, and enjoy! On April 26, 27, and 28, head to downtown St. Albans for the 47th annual Vermont Maple Festival. Among the many attractions for guests are an antique show, exhibit hall, carnival, maple cooking demonstrations, sugarhouse tours, parade, pancake breakfast, a Sap Run Road Race, entertainment on the Main Street stage, crafts, a youth talent show, and much more.

In addition to the scheduled events, there’s plenty to see along the street and in the park, including a mobile maple shop and concessions offering French fries, onion rings, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and other delicious offerings. There’s something for everyone!

For the sixth year in a row, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce has chosen the Vermont Maple Festival as a “Top Ten Spring/Summer Event.” Much of the event is without cost and handicap accessible. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit www.vtmaplefestival.org.
