Mother-Daughter Exhibit: Enjoy the Kath and Char show

Well-known local artist Katharine Montstream will be exhibiting artworks with her daughter Charlotte Dworshak in a show entitled Horizons at Katharine’s studio (Monstream Studio) at 129 St. Paul Street, Burlington. The opening reception is set for Friday, October 2 from 5pm to 8pm. The rain date is Saturday, October 3. The two artists’ paintings explore where the land and the lake meet. Horizons will be their first collaboration focusing on the same subject interpreted with their own works.

“Charlotte takes a more minimalist approach to the landscape while I tend to be more scrubby and busy,” Katharine explains. “We will limit the number of people that can come into the gallery at once, and masks will be required. The perc of this show is that we will time it to coincide with the reopening of the new and beautifully improved City Hall Park right across from us on St. Paul Street. Come to see the show and then wander through the park to see the extensive perennials, rain catching gardens, and new splash fountain.”

The show will run through the month of October. A preview will be available on October 1 on Facebook at Montstream Studio.
