The Festival of Fools is a free, inclusive, family-friendly event that creates a place for community to gather and experience wonder and joy. Bringing laughter and vibrancy to the streets in the heart of Downtown Burlington, it’s a yearly reminder of the power of arts events to activate and energize our public spaces.

The Festival of Fools brings the best street performers from near and far to Vermont, with stupendous street theater, peerless performances, and marvelous music that delight and amaze audiences on the Church Street Marketplace and in City Hall Park.
