According to their website, "Our summer months are filled with families relaxing at the heated swimming pool or practicing on the golf course to become the next Rickie Fowler—we have something to offer each member of the family!"
BCC offers a fun and interactive learning environment where all junior golfers can learn skills and take them on the course. Their Director of Instruction, Libby Smith, was recently named Golf Digest’s #1 teacher in the state of Vermont for her passion and talent in getting new juniors into golf and growing the game. Junior Golf programming will be released in early spring, so keep an eye on the BCC website for details about our summer camps and clinics.
If your children love to swim, then the BCC Barracudas Swim Team may be the summer activity that aligns best with their interests. The Barracudas is offered to kids ages 5–18, and the coaches, many of whom are UVM swim athletes, make fun and sportsmanship the first priorities of this program. "The season for our swim team runs approximately from mid June through early August," their website says. "And is both casual yet competitive as swimmers compete against other local teams at meets."
This summer they also welcome back Olympic swimmer, Scott Spann, with the Dream of Rings program for the second year. Scott shares his motivational message, in-and-out-of water tips, drills, and skills and gives swimmers the chance to race head to head against an Olympian.
The BCC Barracudas Swim Team has been a cornerstone summer activity at the Club for many years, and the BCC is excited to continue growing this successful program.
